The head of the Ministry of defense of Germany Ursula von der Leyen supported the idea of creating an army of the European Union, the first of which was expressed by the head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
Von der Leyen called for closer interaction with the armed forces Bundeswehr other EU countries.
"This interweaving armies with the prospect of one day to do a European army, in my opinion, is the future," the Minister said in an interview to the radio station.
As before said Juncker, EU army will have the opportunity to respond to the danger to the member countries of the European Union and neighbouring States.
Russia in connection with the events in Ukraine has stated many times about the unprecedented increase in military activity of NATO in the European Union.
