As Western partners of Russia has not fulfilled its obligations and has not ratified the Treaty, Moscow decided to stop the role of the joint Commission on the Treaty. Taking into account the views of local politicians, it is suitable to the internal politics of power, and it will make more sense to build a system of military security.

Therefore, the suspension of the CFE Treaty, which was announced by Moscow in 2007, becomes full. To represent national interests, the state has asked Belarus.
