Those citizens of Russia, who moved to the Russian territory from the territory of another country and has applied for recognition of internally displaced persons have the opportunity to receive a deferment for the period of consideration of a petition (under the legislation to three months), and in the case of recognition of internally displaced persons - further period of up to 3 months from the date of such recognition.
Crimea and located on the Crimean Peninsula Sevastopol became the Russian regions according to the results of the referendum on 16 March 2014, more than 90% of participants who voted for reunification with Russia. The referendum was a reaction to the coup on 22 February in Kiev.
