NASA will test the Martian UFO National Aeronautics and space administration (NASA) plans to conduct a test of "flying saucers" Low-Density Supersonic Decelerator. Later, NASA is going on LDSD to send a manned target on Mars.

The spacecraft LDSD in appearance resembles a flying saucer in the guise in which she is pictured in cartoons and movies. Disc-shaped device has an inflatable "belt" and a huge parachute. Test flight of this machine is scheduled for the first half of June 2015, but a specific date, as specified by the adepts of the mission will depend on weather conditions. Experts suggest that testing can take place in the period from 2 to 12 June.

Experienced the lander will be launched from the Pacific base in Hawaii. Initially, the balloon will lift the fixture to a height of about 37 km, then work the rocket engine, which will give the device a supersonic acceleration. This will allow the machine to reach a height of more than 55 km above the Earth, in a very rarefied atmosphere over the Pacific ocean, where the "flying saucer" will begin a series of mechanical research.

After 4 hours minutes LDSD will start to decrease with the inflatable belt", which is inflated at the start of the decline of the apparatus and, by design, ensures the ability to identify when landing in a discharged Martian atmosphere. It turns out the upper layers of the earth's stratosphere on their own properties very close to the rarefied atmosphere of Mars. The apparatus is LDSD scientists work out the freshest technology is not dangerous landing on the surface of the red planet.

According to calculations by NASA, the device will land in the Pacific ocean near the Hawaiian archipelago. Note that the 1st such test flying saucers LDSD happened at the end of June last year.
