The Ukrainian Law on natural gas market, initiated by the government and adopted on Thursday the Verkhovna Rada, will deprive the oligarchs of the right to free use of public gas distribution networks, said Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

According to the law, the wholesale and retail gas markets will act the principle of free pricing, except for some cases. The law provides for the complete separation of the functions of supply, transportation and distribution. Thursday "Naftogaz of Ukraine" said that the new Law is a key document that sets out Ukraine's European norms defined in the 3rd energy package of the EU. First Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine Ihor Umansky has said that the adoption of this law is a condition of IMF and world Bank to resume lending. And the head of "Naftogaz" Andrey Kobelev said that this document will create the rules for the acquisition of gas to European companies on Ukraine's border with Russia.
