Vice-President of the USA Joe Biden agreed on the phone the situation in Ukraine with President of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiadis said the White house.

"in regard to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the leaders agreed that it is important to maintain transatlantic solidarity for the full implementation of the Minsk agreements ", - is informed in the report.

Cyprus, like some other European countries, sceptical of the EU sanctions and the United States, however, participates in, and does not block their possible extension.

Vice-President of the USA and leader of Cyprus also discussed Cyprus settlement, besides Biden tried to convince Anastasiadis to have a dialogue with the new leader of the Turkish Cypriot Mustafa Akinci.
