Latvian foreign Minister: EU is ready to help Belarus and Azerbaijan to join the WTO

"We are working on the Declaration of the Riga summit (21-22 may - ed.). As part of this process, We can prepare and work on a new agreement with Armenia, of course, taking into account the participation of this state in the Eurasian economic Union, " said Rinkevich after the meeting of trade Ministers of EU and Eastern partnership countries.

"We also want to be working with our partners From Armenia, Belarus and Azerbaijan to establish a level of cooperation that would be in the public interest. We are also prepared to Express support for those countries that are not yet WTO members, on their way to the WTO. This is what We offer when you meet with our partners ", - said the Minister.

It also nourishes the hope that the EU will have the opportunity again to start work with Azerbaijan on new framework of cooperation, which may include the economic partnership and cooperation in the field of free trade ".

Eastern partnership countries are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Of these, WTO members are Azerbaijan and Belarus.
