White stripes drummer Meg is upset over a mystery Internet sex video that some have claimed she is the star of.

Though the girl in the film bears a resemblance to a younger Meg, it is somebody else entirely.

A band spokesman said: "Some people have a very twisted sense of humour and this prank is in particularly bad taste.

"The tape circulating on the Internet as featuring Meg White is fake.

"It`s definitely not Meg."

The White Stripes announced a couple of weeks ago that they were cancelling their entire tour due to Meg`s "acute anxiety" which makes it impossible for her to travel.

Meg, 33, is the ex-wife of White Stripes frontman Jack White. When they married, he had taken on her name, which he kept after their 2003 divorce.

She then served as maid of honor at his wedding to British model Karen Elson.
