Kiev has expressed readiness to hold a meeting on customs and phytosanitary control in connection with the implementation of the Treaty on the free trade area with the European Union, said the Minister of economy of Ukraine aivaras abromavicius.




"Our position, of course, it doesn't change. January 1 this agreement shall enter into force. If our Russian colleagues have any questions we are ready to present a meeting on customs, on the issue of phytosanitary terms, but the rules of the Treaty will not change, "said Abromavicius, reports RIA" Novosti ". A free trade area between Ukraine and the European Union, the introduction of which is part of the Treaty on the unity must earn in full from 1 January 2016. Russia made a proposal to postpone the introduction of the free trade zone before January 1, 2017, however, Kiev has not shown enthusiasm in this matter. At the end of April, the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Kiev wants for 5 years to provide the implementation of the agreement with the European Union about the unity and achieve the conditions for applying for EU membership. Recall, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the European Parliament on 16 September 2014 ratified the Association agreement between Kyiv and Brussels, however, the use of a free trade agreement has been postponed 2016.
