"Black archeologists" damaged ancient temples In one of the cities in Turkey in the course of excavation were damaged historical buildings belonging to the ancient era. Authorities have already launched an inquiry into the conflict.

During illegal excavations on the ruins of the ancient metropolis of Castabala were damaged historical artifacts. The incident happened in the province of Osmaniye in the South-East of Turkey. Excavations of "black archeologists" was conducted using the excavator on an area of about 50 sq. m.. the Police have initiated an investigation of the conflict, RIA Novosti reported referring to Turkish publication Hurriyet.

Ruins of Castabala (Hierapolis) are in 15 km from the metropolis Osmaniye. In the old settlement remained all the features of antiquity. There are ruins of an aqueduct, an amphitheatre with a capacity of 5 thousand people, temples and Roman baths. Excavations in the metropolis held since 2009.
