The head of the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation Alexei Ulyukayev said that Russia's position on Ukraine's Association agreement with the EU, announced in Brussels, has found understanding from Ukrainian and European colleagues. Before Wednesday, the Head of Russian foreign Ministry Sergei Lavrov said that the Russian Federation does not consider the desire of Kiev to strengthen ties with the European Union negative factor, but nourishes the hope that this will harm the legitimate desire of the Russian capital. A free trade area between Ukraine and the European Union, the introduction of which is part of the Treaty on the unity must earn in full from 1 January 2016. Russia made a proposal to postpone the introduction of the free trade zone before January 1, 2017, however, Kiev has not shown enthusiasm in this matter. At the end of April, the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Kiev wants for 5 years to provide the implementation of the agreement with the European Union about the unity and achieve the conditions for applying for EU membership. Recall, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the European Parliament on 16 September 2014 ratified the Association agreement between Kyiv and Brussels, however, the use of a free trade agreement has been postponed 2016.
