The draft law defines legal and organizational principles of activity of the Central bodies of internal Affairs, as well as the formation of the bodies of internal Affairs " as a system of independent bodies of Executive power ". This system comprises the Ministry of internal Affairs and other bodies, coordinated by the Ministry of the interior, national law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, the authorities that implement the state policy in the sphere of protection of state borders, migration, protection of civilians. The national guard of Ukraine as a military formation with law enforcement functions are also included in the system of the Ministry of internal Affairs. The law stipulates the procedure of organization of activity of bodies of internal Affairs, the main tasks and functions of the Ministry of internal Affairs. According to the document, the law takes effect from 1 June of the current year.
