The European Union Bulgaria will pay compensation for the damage from the Russian embargo
Bulgarian farmers that are damaged from Russian food embargo, have the opportunity to receive compensation from the EU in the amount of 396 thousand euros, said Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria on the development of EU funds Tomislav Donchev, reports.

Russia on August 7 last year limited the import of agricultural and food items from countries that have entered against her punishment: USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway. A ban were beef, pork, poultry, fruits, vegetables, cheeses and dairy products, nuts and several other products.

Speaking on the last working day of the week before the country's Parliament, Donchev said that Sofia has requested from the EU compensation for agricultural producers of the country for a total amount of 1, 4 million euros, but the European Union, having considered a hundred per cent of the applications were still blessed the payment of only 398 thousand euros.

Donchev said that for the first two months of 2015, total exports fell by 7%, and at the same time, the exports to Russia decreased by 35% compared With the same period last year.
