Civil society forum of the Eastern partnership will hold a conference in June

The civil society forum (CSF), created as part of the list of actions " Eastern partnership ", will hold on June 8-9 in Brussels a conference on " the Contribution of civil society in promoting human rights and promoting reforms ", said on Thursday Last news Commissioner of the Secretariat of the forum.

The participants intend to exchange views on the possible contribution of civil society organizations not only in improving the situation with human rights and the acceleration of political and economic reforms, but also in ensuring regional security, respect for freedom of the media, simplification of visa regime with the EU and the increased participation of women in governing bodies.

The main purpose of the CSF is to facilitate dialogue and interaction between civil society organizations and governments of countries-participants of the program " Eastern partnership ", as well as facilitating its implementation.

The project "Eastern partnership" does not provide for the possibility of EU membership, but focused on political Association and economic integration with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The last 3 countries last year signed the Association agreement with the EU partnership, which has already ratified the overwhelming majority of EU countries.
