Poland expects a permanent presence of NATO troops on its territory, said on Thursday the head of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski during a mutual press conference with Secretary General of the North Atlantic Commonwealth of Jens Stoltenberg.

NATO Secretary General is on a visit in Poland. Stoltenberg visited a military exercise Noble Jump and held dialogues with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of national defense of Poland Tomasz Semenyaka.

"Poland supports our expectations that the rotational presence of the allied forces on our territory, which we very much appreciate the joint effort, we can change the continuous presence" - said Komorowski.

According to the President of Poland, " NATO adequately responded to the dangers associated with Russia's aggression in Ukraine, and these trends began to have signs of permanent threats (from Russia) ". Komorowski recalled that he had invited NATO to hold the next summit of the North Atlantic Commonwealth in 2016 in the capital of Poland and expressed the hope that the very fact of its holding in Warsaw would mean " further strengthening of the Eastern flank of the Commonwealth, allied relations and solidarity ".
