Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to the ambassadors of the G7 countries with a petition to Express support for Kiev in the achievement of a new trilateral gas agreement at the level of EU-Ukraine-Russia, informs on Thursday a press-service of the Ukrainian government.

at the meeting the Prime Minister on the positions of member States G7 on Thursday in Kiev, Yatsenyuk reminded that last year Ukraine along with the group of seven countries managed to reach a tripartite agreement on the level of Ukraine, the European Union and Russia concerning gas supplies to Ukraine and gas transit to the EU.

"The head of government of Ukraine appealed to the member countries of the group of seven to Express support for Ukraine in the implementation of such a mechanism and in the present time ", - informs the press service.

"In order to ensure safe transit to the EU and the supply of gas to Ukraine on the basis of a comprehensive agreement between the EU, Ukraine and the Russian Federation, which is obliged to include a tripartite Protocol, and the Annex to the existing contract between "Naftogaz" and " Gazprom ", - Yatsenyuk explained.
