Tefft has not confirmed data on new sanctions against Russia
U.S. Ambassador to Moscow John Tefft has not confirmed data on new sanctions concerning Russia.
"I haven't heard anything about the introduction of new sanctions concerning Russia, - quotes news Agency the words of John Tefft.- But I can say that the current punishment will be before the end of the year to act."
The United States began to impose punishment concerning Russia in connection with events in Ukraine and the reunification of the Crimea with Russia in March 2014. On 22 June, the EU Council formally extended punishment against Russia for another six months, until 31 January 2016. In the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation said that Moscow is disappointed by the decision of Brussels on the extension of economic sanctions against Russia, noting that the EU is deliberately ignoring the fact that the extension of restrictive measures will result in the loss of jobs to hundreds of thousands of Europeans.
