Azerbaijan does not plan to access NATO as the countries should take into account the interests of neighbors while accessing to the alliance.

The due announcement was made by Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia Polad Bul Bul oghlu in Moscow Friday, Interfax reports.

"We do not hurry to join NATO. We are observing the events attentively. We have a program of Partnership for Peace, which is really effective", he announced.

Commenting on the intention of Georgia and Ukraine to access NATO, Bul Bul oghlu said:

"Each country bases on its own national interests and Georgia and Ukraine will act in line with them".
