Rada ratified the Memorandum with Germany for the loan of five hundred million euros
The Verkhovna Rada on the proposal of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has ratified the Memorandum with Germany for the loan of five hundred million euros for the reconstruction of infrastructure in Eastern Ukraine. Such a decision at the meeting on Wednesday was supported by 266 parliamentarians with the necessary minimum of 226 votes.

The document was signed on 1 April 2015 in Berlin.

According to the Memorandum, the German government wishes to provide the desired guarantees for untied financial loan (UFK) a Credit institution for reconstruction (KfW) for the total amount of five hundred million euros.

"Two hundred million euros of macro-financial assistance of ? 300 million are in 3 areas: energy, infrastructure, utilities and other businesses that provide system the viability of our areas," said Deputy Prime Minister Gennady Zubko, presenting the Document in the Parliament.
