Rada rejected the law on the use of officials of weapons in the Donbass
Ukraine's Parliament on Thursday rejected a law that was intended to allow the state officials to use weapons to the extent where martial law or a special operation.

first, the Rada failed to adopt the law, and he was sent to second reading. On Thursday the law again was not supported by a sufficient number of deputies. Then it was proposed to consider again or send to third reading. However, the deputies rejected both proposals.

in the explanatory paper to the document indicated that in contrast from soldiers in Accordance with the legislative act entitled to keep and use weapons and special means, officials do not have the means of individual protection. This, for example, the people's elected officials, Employees of civil-military administrations, members of government, officials of ministries, other Central bodies of the presidential administration of Ukraine, NSDC, which ceaselessly and on time perform duties within, which is a special operation.

"The purpose of the bill is the development of the necessary guarantees to ensure individual protection of public officials ", - stated in the explanatory Memorandum.

the legislative act provided the opportunity during the special period to provide officers with weapons, ammunition and special means of individual protection. According to the document, conclusion on the provision of arms and equipment would be taken by the authorized entity concerning each officer due to his personal statement, which contains data indicating the existence of a real danger for the life and health of that person and related to the performance of his official duties in the conflict area.
