Ukraine is interested in the purchase of natural gas in Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, informs the head of Department of European integration Ministry of coal industry of Ukraine Mykhailo BNO-Hayriyan on his page on Twitter on Thursday.

according to him, this was stated by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Gennady Zubko, Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev, which was also attended by Minister of energy of Ukraine Volodymyr demchyshyn.


"Minister: we are ready to purchase gas in Kazakhstan. It is necessary to revisit this issue. There are difficulties with its transit, but we need to do some real work, " wrote the Commissioner of the Ministry of energy about the meeting of the parties.

"A similar situation with the transit of Turkmen gas through the territory of Kazakhstan. We need transit and supplies of Central Asian gas, " he added.

After another unsuccessful tripartite gas talks on 30 June Ukraine has suspended the purchase of gas from Russia to agree on the terms of delivery and currently receives gas only in reverse from Europe.
