SBU has blocked about $5 million in the accounts of the family of Viktor Yanukovych
SBU informs that he has found and blocked 110 million hryvnia (about 5 million dollars) in the accounts of the family of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

Employees of security service of Ukraine was blocked in the state Treasury services 110 million UAH destined LLC " MAKO trading sa, which is owned by Oleksandr Yanukovych (the son of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych - ed.)", - is informed in the report of the SBU on Wednesday.

according to the SSU, the Treasury service received the order of the Ministry of justice of Ukraine in respect of transfer of this sum to the account of OOO " MAKO - trading ". According to the decision of the court 110 million were written off the state Executive service accounts with PJSC "Arcelor Mittal Kryvyi Rih" in favor of patterns Oleksandr Yanukovych, which filed a lawsuit to recover the debt.

Viktor Yanukovych was elected President of Ukraine on 25 February 2010 for a five year term. However, on 22 February 2014 in the country there was a coup. The Verkhovna Rada ousted Yanukovych from power, changed the Constitution and appointed a may special election, the results of which became the new President Petro Poroshenko. Yanukovych was forced to leave the country. After the coup d'etat fresh authorities instituted a number of criminal cases against former bureaucrats.

in early 2015, it was announced that the main Prosecutor's office of Ukraine has started the procedure of correspondence involving Yanukovych to justice under the criminal code and appealed to Russia with a request for extradition of ex-President. The General Prosecutor's office suspected Yanukovych in the creation of an illegal organization. The head of the Ministry of justice of the Russian Federation stated that he had not received the documents for the extradition of Yanukovych to Kiev.
