The fifth unit of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant on the last working day of the week hooked up to the network after recovery, informed the Ministry of energy of Ukraine.

At the moment time at the Zaporizhzhya NPP are in operation in five units, the total load is 3 900 MW. The radiation background in the area of the nuclear power plant corresponds to natural values and is 8-12 micro-roentgen per hour.

Zaporizhzhya NPP is the largest energy facility in Ukraine and Europe with an installed capacity of 6,000 MW, the station operated six units with a capacity of 1 million kW each.
