Poroshenko expressed support for Ukraine The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has Made a proposal on the accession of Ukraine to the International Agency for renewable energy (IRENA), said Minister of foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin.




"Poroshenko made a proposal on the accession of Ukraine to the International Agency for renewable energy (IRENA). Strategically important for security, ? wrote Klimkin in his own microblog on Twitter. The international Agency for renewable energy ? organization founded in 2009 to support the use of all forms of renewable energy. IRENA facilitates access to all relevant information about renewable energy sources and among them to the technical data. Established in Bonn in Germany on 26 January 2009 on the initiative of the government of this state, at the founding conference 75 countries have signed the Statute of IRENA. As of may 2014, member States of the organization are 131 countries. Also 37 countries have signed but not ratified the Treaty on membership. United States joined IRENA in June 2009. 29 August 2014, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a government decree on Russia's accession to the international Agency for renewable energy.
