Six European countries have joined the extended EU sanctions against Russia
Natalia Dobrovolskaya. Montenegro, Albania, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Ukraine joined extended the EU economic sanctions against Russia, said the head of EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini.

the head of Ministers of the EU on 22 June, has extended economic sanctions against Russia until 31 January 2016, approving appropriate amendments to the EU decision on sectoral restrictive measures concerning Russia. The decision came into force on 23 June.

"The candidate countries (EU - ed.) Montenegro and Albania, as well as members of the European free trade Association Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European economic area, as well as Ukraine align themselves with this statement. They will ensure their congruence with national policy the Council's decision, " - said in a press release on behalf of the EU.

These countries, as well as Georgia joined the economic renewal of EU sanctions against the Crimea and Sevastopol. The conclusion about the effect of the restrictive measures until 23 June 2016 was adopted by the EU Council on June 19. Penalties include a ban on imports of products produced in Crimea or Sevastopol into the European Union
