The Russian defense Ministry: nearly 900 military build route bypassing Ukraine
Russian railway troops involved about 350 pieces of various mechanisms and about 900 personnel on the construction site of the railway zhuravka-Millerovo bypassing Ukraine, said in an interview to the newspaper the Deputy head of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation, army General Dmitry Bulgakov.

Double-track electrified railway track began to build on a plot of zhuravka-Millerovo after the deterioration of relations with Ukraine in 2014. The road would connect the Voronezh and Rostov regions and unload the existing highway. The customer of construction of the highway is RZD. Railway troops perform works from the 11th to the 31st kilometer, is other parts of build a civic organization. It is not excluded that in the future the Railway troops will be brought in to the construction of other sections of this road.

"Russian railway troops lead the construction of double-track electrified railway on a stretch of 20 kilometers and carry out the task of filling of subgrade and construction of the permanent way on the section from 11 th to 31 th kilometer. The currently estimated volume of earthworks is already more than 4, 5 million cubic meters. For this task used about 350 pieces of various mechanisms and about 900 personnel, " - said Bulgakov.

according to him, currently Train troops carried out almost two million cubic metres of earthworks.

"I'm sure that To perform this important task to do our best and will put the customer in a timely. Currently we are ahead of all schedules for one month, " said Deputy head of the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation.

Bulgakov told that in 2015 the railway troops are expected to perform tasks at the 60 sites, to build (or maintain) 108, 3 km of Railways, 181 replace a set of switches, perform the embankment 82 facilities storing ammunition in five of the stockpiles with a total volume of earthworks 795, 5 thousand cubic meters."
