Medvedev urges Putin to extend the embargo The government can send Vladimir Putin a requirement for the expansion of the list of States that fall under grocery punishment. According to Dmitry Medvedev, it is about the States that previously did not support the decision of the European Union, but still imposed the penalties against Russia.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed to study the issue of expanding the list of States covered under the domestic food counter-sanctions. The proper statement was created by a politician at a government meeting, reports TASS.

"I would ask here what to do: given the fact that, judging by the information we have, a number of States, for which these penalties did not apply, imposed retaliatory measures. According to the statements of adherents of the European Union anyway, judging", - said the politician.

He stressed that it is proper to prepare an appeal to President Vladimir Putin about the addition of a decree by the number of States that supported the EU sanctions. According to Medvedev, there are several States who have not previously taken anti-Russian punishment, and on which they accordingly did not apply.

A political activist has instructed the Ministry of agriculture to develop an appeal to the President. "I would like the Ministry of agriculture and the government office to clarify this issue finally and if necessary to prepare an appeal of the government about the change in those acts, which we accepted, and proposals for supplementing the decree of the President", - said Medvedev.

In addition, the Prime Minister revealed that he will head the Commission on import substitution. It will consist of 2 sub-groups: civil and military industry. According to his statement, import substitution is one of the main directions of work of the government.
