Medvedev questioned the legitimacy of bombing Syria Dmitry Medvedev questioned the legitimacy of the attacks on Syria and Iraq without the sanction of the UN security Council. The Russian Prime Minister stressed that the fight against the Islamic state should lead a joint effort under the auspices of an international organization.

Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev questioned the legality of air strikes in Iraq and Syria. He stressed that the coalition against the "Islamic state" led by the United States was created to bypass the security of the UN and launched their own business in Syria without the consent of the government power. Medvedev said that it is not only about the actions of America, but not so long ago occurred the bombing of the Turkish aviation sector in Iraq.

"Support for the Iraqi armed forces in the fight against the Islamists has antiepilepsy coalition led by the United States. Understand that this is done with the consent and at the request of the Iraqi government. Along with this coalition was created in circumvention of the UN Security Council and circulated their own actions on Syrian territory without the consent of her government. This creates severe doubts as to the legitimacy of such actions. By the way, not so long ago occurred the attacks of the Turkish aviation in Iraq can not cause similar issues" - quoted Medvedev RIA Novosti, with reference to his interview with the Egyptian Ahram printed edition.

Leader of the Russian Minister said that Syria and Iraq are faced with a massive terrorist attack, and action grouping "Islamic state" directly affected Libya, Lebanon, Yemen and Jordan. "The so-called Caliphate proclaimed by grouping "the Islamic state in large parts of Iraqi and Syrian areas, poses a direct security threat, and not only for the States in the Middle East," he said.

Medvedev added that combating terrorism requires the integration of efforts and coordination of a very wide range of countries under the auspices of the UN, the actions of some one power is not enough. He recalled that the Russian President took the initiative of establishing an international anti-terrorist front. According to him, the main condition is to achieve in Iraq and Syria state consent. To solve the problems in these countries is possible only on the basis of conversation for all participants in the political process, says the Prime Minister.
