In Ukraine is not fully entered into force the law on the national police
The law on the national police stationed in the Ukrainian official media on Thursday, so from that date it is not fully entered into force, as well as among them, shall enter into force in respect of the offices of the patrol police in Kiev.

The law is posted in the newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada " dated 6 August.

According to the law, its effect begins to act in respect of the Kyiv police on the day of its promulgation.

in General, the Law takes effect within 3 months from the day following the day of its promulgation. While exceptions will be a few paragraphs, among them, the Law will start to operate from 20 August for law enforcement officers of patrol police offices in Odessa and Lviv.

On Tuesday, the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law on the national police, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on 2 July. According to the law, the New service will be created in stages. The first step in this direction will be the development of the patrol police, which, as well as among them, will replace the police. New patrol law enforcement began in Kiev on 4 July. Before the end of the year is expected to make a similar service in other major cities.

The law requires that the police want to sign a contract for four years, which will allow to provide stability of their work. It is also planned that local authorities have the opportunity to Express no confidence in any police patrol. The main innovation is the recruitment to law enforcement agencies through a public competition. The activities of the national police coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers through the head of the Ministry of internal Affairs.
