The law on local elections in Ukraine will begin on August 8
The law on local elections in Ukraine posted on the last working day of the week in the media, the Document will come into force on 8 August.

The document is published in the parliamentary newspaper on 7 August. According to the law, it takes effect from the day following the day of its promulgation.

yesterday the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law on local elections. The elections will be "tested" a new electoral system, which in Ukraine was not used. If at the time of voting no candidate wins 50% 1 - will the second round. According to the administration of the President of Ukraine, 220-thousand deputies will be reduced by at least 30%.

According to the law, regional, city and district councils will be elected by proportional representation with the so-called open lists, and the election of people's deputies of village and settlement councils - the majority system of relative majority. In the election will not be eligible blocks of political parties, the electoral threshold for parties increased from 3% to 5%.

Local elections are scheduled in Ukraine on October 25, while Kiev does not want to spend them on uncontrollable Ukrainian security forces of the territory of Donbass. The CEC of Ukraine reported that the electoral campaign will start on 5 September.
