The head of the Council on civil rights under President of Russia Michael Fedotov has addressed to Vladimir Putin with a request to include in the composition of the presidential Council domestic famous economist, academic supervisor of the Higher school of Economics and President of the Foundation "Liberal mission" Yevgeny Yasin.

Similar idea was supported by the civil rights Ombudsman Ella Pamfilova and its predecessor, Vladimir Lukin. Mikhail Fedotov believes that the presidential Council on civil rights, which he heads, not enough highly qualified economists. To fill this gap, he decided, inviting Evgeny Yasin, which sent a correct handling of Vladimir Putin.

The Russian President has already considered the proposal and, according to some reports, confirmed it. A similar move, said Mikhail Fedotov, will allow the HRC to work more efficiently over all generated tasks.

"We, the Council on civil rights, there is a lack of economists. And financial problems are closely linked to human rights. So, without a great economy it is impossible to efficiently provide the right to work or social security. Yevgeny Yasin not only an economist but also a social worker", - quote "Izvestia" head of the presidential Council Mikhail Fedotov.

Yasin said that about doing things together is still too early to say, but by hard work he is ready. "I'll try. I think that can help especially when there will be any discussion and decision on the proposals of the various ministries and departments," he said.

Yevgeny Yasin boasts a long and impressive career. In 1989 he was the head of the State Commission on financial reform under the Council of Ministers of the USSR in early 1990s and a member of the presidential Council for entrepreneurship and management working group under the government, participated in the design of financial programs. In 1994, Yasin was appointed Minister of Economics, April 1997, became Minister without portfolio on financial matters, internal and external investments in the government.
