Kiev approved a second expanded package of sanctions against Russia
The government of Ukraine at a meeting on Wednesday approved the second expanded package of sanctions concerning the Russian Federation and submit it to the Council of national security and defence (NSDC) of Ukraine, said the Minister of information policy of Ukraine Yuriy stets.

"Yeah, been approved," he told reporters.

The U.S. government announced the extension of sanctions on July 30, the list grew to eleven physical and fifteen legal entities, including "daughter" VEB and Rosneft. The sanctions list was expanded to 61 paragraph with the reasons "in connection with events in Ukraine" and " activities in the Crimean region of Ukraine ". Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Wednesday explained the need for the extension of sanctions against Russia, first imposed measures by the U.S. government.

Relations between Russia and the West deteriorated in connection with the situation in Ukraine. EU countries, USA and Canada first imposed against the Russian Federation 1st batch of sentences, then it was expanded. In response, Russia imposed retaliatory measures that have spread to the products of the agricultural sector from the USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway.
