The Ukrainian authorities will develop a road map for the extraction of amber
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Bosevski on the last working day of the week ordered the Ministry of ecology and natural resources to create a road map of amber mining in the country.

Illegal extraction of amber local residents have long flourished in Rivne, Zhytomyr regions and other Central-Western regions of Ukraine. The problem before was the head of the country Petro Poroshenko, which in July asked in a persistent form from law enforcement for 2 weeks to establish the optimal stopping smuggling of amber.

"We need a clear roadmap on the problem of amber on Ukraine, which will take into account the wishes of the country. Expect from the Ministry of natural resources develop a plan of action with clear and acceptable to the people steps. He is obliged to answer the questions: who and what they must do to amber solution of the problem of development of this industry ", - quotes the expression of Vodickova his press service.

As explained by Vice-Premier, one must determine How it should be organized extraction of amber: the state monopoly, the monopoly of utility plant, or the free market. It's relative to the market and the right to export. He finds it necessary to legislate duties and responsibilities for reclamation of sites after legal mining of amber, as well as to ban the use of pump-action method of production.

Deputy Prime Minister said that a separate item be obliged to be the introduction of a mechanism for involving local people in legal work for the extraction of amber. Must be offered solutions to social issues. In addition, requires the solution of the problem of taxation of amber extraction and distribution of taxes between local and state budgets.

As reported in the report of the press service, according to experts, Ukraine in the last year of illegally exported 70 tons of amber with a total price of about 230 million dollars. Along with this, the potential accumulation of amber in the depths of Ukraine are able to make from 2 to 10 thousand tons, but to confirm the state is obliged to provide a complex exploration.
