Head Petro Poroshenko believes that during the week the Verkhovna Rada will adopt the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine in the part of decentralization.

"this week the Verkhovna Rada May adopt in the first reading of the constitutional amendments in respect of decentralization, when the lion's share of powers and the lion's share of responsibility will pass to the place of territorial communities and Executive committees," said Poroshenko during a performance at the celebration of the 24th anniversary of independence of Ukraine.

He said that the most important duty of the government in the autumn is to provide honest local elections planned for 25 October.
