Russian politicians appreciate the Russian-Cuban cooperation and expressed interest in the future development of the interaction between 2 countries, among them parliamentary, said 1st Deputy speaker of the state Duma Ivan Melnikov (Communist party) met with the first Deputy head of the state Council of Cuba and the Council of Ministers Miguel Diaz-Kannel Bermudez.

"We very much appreciate the current level of Russian-Cuban cooperation aimed at further enhancing our multi-faceted cooperation, among them parliamentary, which is an important part of our cooperation. We are satisfied with the dynamics of the evolving exchange of political views, " - said Melnikov.

1st Vice-speaker of the state Duma said that Russia and Cuba are collaborating on the international arena, in the 1st turn, in the framework of the UN General Assembly.

"We always feel the support of Cuba on all our major initiatives, and among them I note the support of a very important decision that We have made, - to prevent the glorification of Nazism, which in the majority are all supported except for 4 countries," he noted.

the MP said that the development of relations of Cuba and regions of the Russian Federation, including Tatarstan, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Tula region, is a positive development in trade and economic relations between pairs of countries.

Melnikov also expressed gratitude to the leadership of Cuba for the principled position that the Republic took on the crisis in Ukraine and the situation around the Crimea.
