Russia emphasizes with satisfaction the reduction in the number of violations of the ceasefire regime in the Donbas and the lack of them on 1 September, said on Thursday the official representative of the Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

"We are pleased to note the consistent reduction in the number of violations of the ceasefire since August 28, and the lack of them on 1 September. In this case, we note the necessity of maintaining "silence" and in the future, " Zakharova said in a news conference in the Russian capital.

the Commissioner of the Russian diplomatic vedomctva also reminded that the next meeting of the Contact group on settling the situation in Ukraine is scheduled for 8 September.

"during the meeting, from our point of view, it is critical to seek the release on the signing of a Supplement to the Minsk package of measures from 12 February and the withdrawal of tanks, mortars up to 120 mm and artillery pieces up to 100 mm, and its Annex on verification measures," - said Zakharov.
