The people's Deputy from "Blok Petro Poroshenko" Ivan Melnychuk has made the initiative to deprive some workers of culture the title of people's artist of Ukraine, informs the Ukrainian news Agency UNIAN. The relevant draft law was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday.

The main objective of the project is " condemnation of anti-Ukrainian and proseparatist manifestations of Ukrainian culture, art and show business, and the use of them public responsibility ", said the press service of " Block of Petro Poroshenko ".

In accordance with the legislative act of Ukraine " On state awards ", the deprivation of state awards the President may only be awarded if convicted for a serious offence by the court.
