Moscow refused to become a member of OPEC The head of "Rosneft" did not see the point in the RF joining OPEC. Igor Sechin has informed that the power has no need to become a member of the organization.

The head of "Rosneft" Igor Sechin at the conference, FT Commodities in Singapore have expressed their opinions conditionally of Russia's membership in international intergovernmental organization created by oil-producing countries to stabilize the rates for black gold. He stressed that he sees no sense for our country to join OPEC.

As a prerequisite Sechin pointed to scientific and technical differences in the methods of oil extraction. Also, Russian oil market almost completely privatized, and the government can not control it directly, as is done in OPEC States, most major firms in the market - state, says RIA Novosti.

The head of "Rosneft" was named Europe as the main consumer of Russian black gold. "Certainly, for us Europe is the main consumer, but the growing market the Asia-Pacific region (Asia-Pacific region. - Approx. ed.) is considered for us in the highest degree attractive. Today, despite the fairly large amounts in the direction of the Asia-Pacific region, in the total structure of our exports, it does not exceed 13-15%," said Sechin TASS.

The view was also expressed that the domestic firm is working with Western partners without crashing. Version Sechin, all projects of "Rosneft" with Western partners are in normal mode, despite the crisis in the oil sector of the economy. The head of the company stressed that Rosneft is working with foreign, Western partners in the form of a transfer of shares of its own projects and in return gets the same opportunities in the partner countries. Work on this scheme is conducted with China.

The head of "Rosneft" stressed that in the foreseeable future production of black gold in our country can be increased to 700 million tons. Oil production in Russia by the end of 2014 amounted to 526,7 million tons. However, Rosneft expects to increase consumption at the expense of China. The firm forecasts that by 2020 the figure could grow by 2%. Sechin said world demand for energy will continue to grow even in the face of continuing economic crises in the economy, particularly the economies of individual regions.
