Found unknown human ancestor Scientists have unearthed an ancient tomb in South Africa. The archaeologists managed to find a new kind of predecessor of the modern inhabitant of our planet.

In a system of caves near Johannesburg, archaeologists stumbled upon an ancient tomb. The bones of 15 people well-preserved and, most importantly, unlike bones known human ancestors. The opening can correct scientific views about evolution.

Ancestor of modern Homo sapiens professionals named Homo naledi, described in the scientific journal eLife. According to Dr. Lee Berger, who led the team of researchers discovered the bones may belong to 1 of the first ancestors of modern humans that lived about 3 million years ago.

"I am pleased to introduce you to the new human ancestor. We have high hominid, an increase of about half a meter, which was extremely emaciated, had powerful muscles and a brain about the size of my fist," he told Berger.

As we were informed Days.Roux, in may this year in the area of APAR in Ethiopia scientists found a new species of human ancestor that lived about 3 and a half million years ago. It is expected that the bones are regarded as the remains of 4 people who had the traits of both humans and monkeys. New look researchers dubbed Australopithecus deyiremeda that in the local language means "close relative".
