Murder in Russia associated with alcohol Two-thirds of violent deaths in Russia are associated with strong drinks, said the Director of the Department of public health and communications Ministry of health of Russia Oleg Salahi. Also, serious relationship found between alcohol use and deaths are the result of cardiovascular disease.

In Russia is a serious struggle with addictions, namely with the excessive consumption of intoxicating beverages. And it is more than justified, as the drinking of alcoholic beverages often leads to death - both natural and external causes.

"According to local scientists, approximately two-thirds of all deaths of a violent nature associated with strong drinks. About 1 quarter of all deaths from cardiovascular disease among other things associated with alcoholic beverages", - quotes RIA Novosti Director of the Department of public health and communications of the Ministry of health of Russia Oleg Salaga.

He added that at risk are people from 20 to 39 years. In this category of persons intoxicating drinks is the basis of every 4 deaths. Only in 2014, according to Rosstat, from external circumstances died more than 180 thousand inhabitants of Russia.

In such difficult conditions, the Ministry of health fully supported the initiative of the Russian Orthodox Church on the celebration of sobriety. "The Holy Synod it was decided to celebrate the Day of sobriety (celebrated on September 11. - Approx. ed.), which was extremely well received. I think we could do the state throughout the Russian Federation, as the problem of alcoholism, drunk life is horrible and devastating to our people", - quotes the outreach division of the Department of charity of the Bishop of Orekhovo-Zuevo Panteleimon.

The Church created 70 shelters for drug addicts, 54 rehabilitation centre for alcohol addicts and 60 of psychological support services. With all this projects of social assistance will continue.
