Obesity is helpful for men It is commonly believed that overweight nothing but harm to the body cannot make. However, the Swedish researchers concluded that men with obesity are less likely to suffer rheumatoid arthritis.

A team of researchers from the Institute of malmö² in Sweden analyzed the effect of too much body weight on the condition of the joints, informs Netdoctor. Researchers concluded that men with high body mass index (BMI) less likely to suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. Interestingly, in regard of ladies this relationship was not found.

The study involved 50 705 subjects who also were participants in the 2 other major scientific works. As a result, it was revealed that boys with a BMI over 25 (overweight) and 30 (obesity) risk of development of rheumatoid arthritis in 40-63% lower than in people with normal weight.
