Pro-presidential party "Block of Petro Poroshenko "Solidarity" at the Congress on Wednesday will decide on participation in local elections, scheduled for 25 October, said the leader of the parliamentary faction of the BPP Yuriy Lutsenko.

"Congress BPP Today (Wednesday - ed.) will only take the decision to participate in local elections, as a legal fact, and also delegates the right to determine the candidates in the deputies and mayors of cities of regional organizations of the party. Today will be presented only a General platform on which the party will move to local elections ", - Lutsenko declared to correspondents prior to the Congress.

according to his statement at the Congress will be announced the names of the candidates who will be nominated to the local Councils or mayors of cities. Lutsenko also said that it is not expected the presence of the party leader, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. At the previous stage of the party Congress, it was decided to consolidation with the party a SHOT of the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko for joint participation in local elections. Klitschko was elected head of the United party.

Political party "Block of Petro Poroshenko" began its history on August 27, 2014 - at the extraordinary Congress of political party " IN "Solidarity" there was made a conclusion about the renaming of this political force in the " Block of Petro Poroshenko ". Renaming was before the parliamentary elections in Ukraine in autumn of last year. Chairman block was then elected ex-interior Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko.
