Poroshenko: Kiev will not make proposals for the elections in the Donbass
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Kyiv will not make any offers to discuss options for conducting elections in the Donbass, but any suggestions at the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk national republics.

"No pressure on the Ukrainian side does not happen. We just won't accept it. We will protect the sovereignty of Ukraine, and among them We have the right to determine election rules. Yes, there are discussions that need to take note of certain features, and make suggestions. Ukraine there are no proposals to make will not, but We are ready to listen (proposals - ed.) where it meets the democratic standards ", - said Poroshenko in an interview to Ukrainian TV channels on Sunday night.

Local elections in the DNR are required to complete 18 October. Poroshenko have said before, that Donetsk and Lugansk are obliged to dispense with the holding of local elections, and tried to convince them to immediately begin discussions on the modalities of their conduct according to the Ukrainian laws.

The Ukrainian Government has appointed elections to Local authorities on 25 October. The authorities DND and LNR many times stated about the conduct of local elections regardless of the wishes of Kiev.
