Demchyshyn believes that "Nord stream-2" will not be implemented
Minister of energy of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn believes that the Project "Northern stream-2" in the end will not be implemented because of its inefficiency.

"I am confident that these projects will not be finished, they are unnecessary from the standpoint of capacity available, they cost more expensive, they technically risky, politically difficult," said Demchyshyn at an international energy forum in Kiev, speaking about the Russian plans to build a " Northern stream-2 ".

agreement of shareholders of a mutual project of the organization of the New European Pipeline AG, which will deal with the construction of a gas pipeline " Northern stream-2 ", was signed on 4 September in the framework of the Eastern economic forum in Vladivostok. The shareholders will include Gazprom (with a share of 51%), E. On (10%), Shell (10%), OMV (10%), BASF/Wintershall (10%) and Engie (9%). The project involves the construction of 2 pipelines with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from the coast of Russia across the Baltic sea to the German coast.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has in the past expressed the hope that the EC will not allow the implementation of the Russian project to build an offshore gas pipeline " Nord stream-2 ". According to his statement, his erection completely deprive Kiev's ability to supply gas to the EU and will lead to a loss of $ 2 billion of funds coming from the transit.
