Construction noise kills some 270,000 frogs in China Noise from a local building site is being blamed for the death of around 270,000 American frogs at a nearby farm in south China, the China Daily reported on Tuesday.

According to the farm owner, Fu Yishin, the round-the-clock construction work killed his frogs one after another as every time there was a loud noise the frogs jumped.

The 73-year-old frog farmer said he had invested 300,000 yuan ($43,900) in his amphibians.

Yishin is demanding 2.6 million yuan (around $380,000) in compensation from the builders.
