Source: in Minsk to discuss fresh proposals for diversion of weapons
Participants of the subgroup on safety in the Donbass at the meeting in Minsk to discuss fresh proposals, the Kyiv side about the diversion of weapons that had previously not been announced, said a source close to the negotiations.

"currently being considered fresh version of the agreement about the withdrawal of weapons of a calibre of not more than 100 millimetres. The Ukrainian side has proposed changes which have not previously voiced. Accordingly, currently under discussion ", - quotes the expression of the interlocutor.

As stated before, the main issue discussed at the meetings of the political sub-group, is the holding of local elections in the breakaway Donetsk and Lugansk national republics. The main theme of the work of the subgroup on safety is preparation of the agreement about the withdrawal from the separation line in the Donbass weapons a caliber of less than 100 millimeters and tanks.

The Ukrainian authorities in April of last year began military action against the self-proclaimed LNR and DND. According to the final data of the UN, the victims of the conflict began more than 8 thousand people. The last document from February 12 - in addition to the ceasefire, withdrawal of heavy weapons and the creation of security zones, obliges the Ukrainian Authorities to engage in direct dialogue with the authorized DND and LNR, for example, on the issue of holding local elections, entering into the Constitution of Ukraine of change, involving the decentralization of Power, as well as on the issue of legislative recognition of special status " of Donetsk and Lugansk regions ".

at the meeting of the contact group, which took place on 26 August in Minsk, the parties to the conflict agreed on the need to achieve a ceasefire in the Donbass on September 1. The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's September 13, summed up in practice, full compliance with the ceasefire regime in the Donbas since the end of August this year.
