The official representative of the presidential administration of Ukraine on issues of special operations Andrei Lysenko called the agreement on the withdrawal of tanks and artillery with a caliber not exceeding 100 millimetres, and mortars of a calibre of 120 millimetres in the East of Ukraine diplomatic victory of Kiev and the next step to peace.

On Tuesday in Minsk agreement was initialed the withdrawal of certain weapons a caliber of 100 millimeters and tanks from the frontline in Donbass. Authorized self-proclaimed Donetsk national Republic in the contact group Denis Putilin said that the document was signed by all parties with the exception of the heads of DND and LNR. The head of the breakaway republics intend to sign the document on Wednesday.

"The signing of supplements to the measures concerning the implementation of the Minsk agreements, which is the rule of retraction of the arms is less than 100 millimeters, as well as among them tanks, mortars, - it is a very important step. We believe, because this is one of diplomatic victories, and only victories of our commissioners who participate in the work of the tripartite working group, " said Lysenko at a press conference on Wednesday.

He said, because this is another step towards establishing peace in the area of confrontation in the Donbass.

The Ukrainian authorities in April of last year began military action against the self-proclaimed LNR and DND.
