High people are more likely to get cancer Scientists-physiologists from Sweden revealed a relationship between the incidence of cancer and the growth of man. Also, the researchers emphasized specific types of cancer that are more high people.

Physiologists at the Karolinska Institute and the Stockholm Institute carried out an extensive study, which confirmed the hypothesis that growth has an impact on a person's susceptibility to the Genesis of cancerous tumors. Explains that scientists have analyzed the data of cancer patients that were collected in the period from 1938 to 1991.

The results of the study showed that the representatives of the stronger sex the risk of cancer increases by 11% for every 10 cm of height. In women a similar pattern is observed - 18% for every 10 cm of height. And yet, scientists are convinced that the growth has not such a powerful influence on the development of cancer, like Smoking or poor diet, reports The Guardian.

Also, researchers have traced the correlation between growth and certain types of cancer. Thus, the higher representative of the stronger sex, the more chance the appearance of skin cancer. In the case of the fairer sex, height directly influences the possibility of breast cancer.

In spite of the regularities, physiologists believe that growth in itself is not directly linked to cancer: first it is considered evidence of a specific genetic marker that is somehow associated with the likelihood of developing cancer.
