The United States welcomes the decision of the self-proclaimed DND and LNR about the postponement of local elections, as well as additional consensus on the withdrawal of weapons, said the Commissioner of the state Department mark Toner.

"The United States welcomes that Russia supported militias postponed once illegal local elections in Eastern Ukraine. The people who live there, deserve election officials in Accordance with international standards and in Accordance with the Ukrainian legislation monitored by the OSCE, as ordered in the Minsk agreements, " said Toner at a press conference.

He added that the United States also welcomed the agreement on the withdrawal of heavy weapons, and said that " it is critical that the OSCE had full access, including the border (with Russia) ".
