The city Council of Dzerzhinsk in the Donetsk region decided to rename the town during the law of decommunization, Now requires the consent of the Verkhovna Rada, informs a site of the Donetsk regional state broadcasting company, indicating the decision of the local Council.

in may in Ukraine entered into force adopted by the Verkhovna Rada the law " about the condemnation of the Communist and Nazi regimes ", for example, prohibiting propaganda of Soviet symbols. The legislative act also prohibited the public use of symbols of the Communist regime. The document caused a great resonance in society, because it had not clearly written the boundaries of its use. The authorities promised to amend the law changes and to remove inaccuracies.

"Today in Dzerzhinsk pursuant to the law on decommunization was made the conclusion about the renaming of the city. Now it will be called Tareck ", - is informed in the report.

along with this final conclusion about the renaming of the city according to the Ukrainian legislation should take the Verkhovna Rada.

before the Ukrainian Institute of national remembrance published a list of historical figures whose names must disappear from geographical names, because their activities are subject to the law of decommunization. The list includes also Felix Dzerzhinsky was a Soviet politician and head of a number of people's commissariats, in whose honor was named the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Donetsk region.
